Information

The China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shenyang (referred to as Sino-German Park) ‌is a State-Certified Flagship Platform. We are confident it will attract more enterprises from Germany and other European countries to establish operations here, deepening collaboration in high-end equipment manufacturing, green low-carbon industries, digitalization and software, biomedicine, and healthcare, stated Feng Xingliang, Chief Representative of the North Rhine-Westphalia International Business Agency in China.

On the 7th, the Sino-German Enterprise Matchmaking Exchange was held at the Sino-German International Innovation Incubation Center within the park in Tiexi District, Shenyang. Multiple German enterprise representatives shared insights on Sino-German cooperation needs and investment intentions in China, praising the event as a deeply engaging opportunity.

This year marks a decade since the establishment of the Sino-German Park (Shenyang), which was formally approved by China’s State Council in December 2015 as the nation’s first flagship platform for China-Germany advanced equipment manufacturing cooperation.. Over the past decade, it has deepened cooperation with Germany and Europe, witnessing over 120 foreign enterprises—including BMW, ZF, and Michelin—take root and flourish, establishing itself as a new benchmark for Europe-China cooperation.

The park has accumulated substantial achievements and refined a mature development model, laying a solid foundation for German enterprises in China. Shenyang has the potential to become the preferred gateway for German and European firms entering Northeast Asian markets, Feng added.

Chris Klein, Project Manager of German Schütz Group, highly commended the park’s planning, infrastructure, and supporting services, highlighting its role as a pivotal hub for cooperation with China.

We plan to integrate German vocational education standards and training models with China’s technical demands and enterprise needs, cultivating versatile talents skilled in both theory and practice, Klein emphasized.

The exchange was part of the German Enterprises Tour in Shenyang initiative. Bian Yi, Vice Chairman of Tiexi District CPPCC, noted that over the past decade, events like German Enterprises Tour and Germany-Tiexi Day have enabled German companies to establish partnerships during their first visits, introducing new technologies and ideas. These activities also broaden Chinese firms global perspectives.

Sino-German cooperation is bidirectional and open: German technological expertise efficiently integrates with China’s market needs, while China leads globally in digital tech and AI, Feng observed.

Such collaboration will fuel the park’s next decade, strengthening Sino-German ties, said Michael Weber, Head of German Weber Auditing Firm. He added that more German SMEs joining this partnership will solidify a multidimensional economic framework.
