The ninth China-Russia Expo opened at the International Exhibition Center in Yekaterinburg, the capital of Russia’s Sverdlovsk Region, on July 7.​

Under the theme “China-Russia Practical Cooperation: Steady Progress”, the event has attracted over 1,500 Russian government and enterprise representatives, with 185 companies setting up exhibition booths and more than 300 suppliers and manufacturers participating. Over 300 Chinese enterprises have showcased products focusing on high-end manufacturing, energy cooperation, and scientific and technological innovation.​

In his opening address, Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia, stated that the China-Russia Expo consistently features substantial business programs. He expressed confidence that the upcoming forums would host productive business negotiations between Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs, generating “new ideas, new initiatives, and new projects” for bilateral relations.​

Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui emphasized that since its inception in 2014, the expo has evolved into a vital platform and shining hallmark for promoting bilateral economic and trade cooperation, playing a positive role in deepening China-Russia economic ties.
