The college entrance examination has just ended. If students want to use their college entrance examination scores to apply for a German undergraduate program, what should they pay attention to? Recently, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has developed a guide for college entrance examination students to apply for German universities.

For Chinese high school graduates who meet the following conditions, they are eligible for direct admission to German undergraduate programs. First, applicants need to have a high school diploma after 2019 (including 2019) and have studied for 12 years from elementary school to high school; applicants must take the college entrance examination after 2019 (including 2019), and the score must reach at least 70% of the full score of the college entrance examination. There are two languages ​​(Chinese and a foreign language) and one mathematics or science subject in the college entrance examination. In addition, the results of the examination must also be provided.

The restrictions on the application of undergraduate majors in German universities follow the following rules: To apply for mathematics, science and engineering, and economics, students need to take at least two subjects in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, or comprehensive science subjects; to apply for liberal arts, social sciences, and art majors, at least take the college entrance examination in mathematics, foreign languages, history/geography, or comprehensive liberal arts subjects; to apply for medicine, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, and dentistry, the college entrance examination score must reach at least 80% of the total college entrance examination score, and at least take the college entrance examination in mathematics, physics, chemistry/biology, or comprehensive science subjects; to apply for law majors, the college entrance examination score must reach at least 80% of the total college entrance examination score, and at least take the college entrance examination in foreign languages, history/geography, or comprehensive liberal arts subjects.

For students who are already studying in domestic universities, if they meet the requirements of the college entrance examination procedure for applicants, they can participate, regardless of whether they are already studying in domestic universities. For art exam candidates, sports candidates, policy bonus candidates, etc., to determine whether the college entrance examination scores include art exam scores, sports scores, and policy bonus scores, due to the different college entrance examination scoring policies in different provinces, it is recommended that students send the Chinese and English national unified college entrance examination score report of the China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center to the email address: gverfahren@aps.org.cn so that the APS Review Department can respond to the specific situation.

Before applying to German universities, students must have the German Study Abroad Review Department review the authenticity of relevant certificates and admission qualifications of German universities. Applicants for the college entrance examination procedure do not need to participate in interviews or the Test of Applicants.
