The audit department cooperates with the three regions of Belgium : the Dutch-speaking region, the French-speaking region and the German-speaking region. The qualifications for direct admission to Belgian universities are the same as those for German universities.
Chinese students who have not received higher education in China will not be able to review their academic records by the audit department. If such students want to apply to Belgian universities, they must have the embassy or consulate’s authenticity certificate of their academic qualifications of the country where they are studying or graduating from the university.

【Belgium/French Area】
Chinese students who want to study in the French-speaking areas of Belgium need to pass the APS review before they obtain admission notices for universities, language classes and preparatory courses. Audit interviews are conducted in English / French. The audit department will review the university degree and university results of such applicants to determine the admission qualifications. The direct admission qualifications for Belgian universities are the same as those for German universities.
French-speaking Belgium audit interviews take place at specific times. Generally , there are one or two centralized interview opportunities in Beijing each year. Please pay attention to the latest announcements from the Audit Department for Students Studying in Germany for the interview time and application deadline.
Please note: The audit certificates in the French-speaking area and the Dutch-speaking area are not interchangeable, and applicants can only choose one. Please confirm the preferred language area before applying!
Application steps:
- Confirmation procedure: First, please consult the Belgian school whether an APS audit certificate is required.
If students do not need an APS audit certificate, please apply for a visa directly at the Belgian embassy or consulate. For visa-related matters, please consult the visa office.
If the APS certificate is required, it is up to the Belgian school to decide whether the interview is required. Please confirm and then register online on the official website of the audit department.
Note: The interview location in the French-speaking part of Belgium can only be in Beijing !
- Submit the application and mail the materials.
After registering online, send the printed registration form together with other materials to the audit department. For details of the materials that need to be submitted, please see the instructions for applicants studying in the French-speaking part of Belgium. All materials will be archived by the audit department and will not be returned.
- Audit fee remittance The
Audit fee is RMB 2,500 (material review + interview) or RMB 1,000 (material review). Fees must be remitted to the audit department account via bank. Submissions must include a copy of the remittance order.
After the materials are reviewed and approved, the audit department will arrange an interview for the applicant. After the interview is successful, the audit department will issue 10 French-speaking area-specific audit certificates. Students can apply to universities or language schools in the French-speaking areas of Belgium by these certificate.
