Starting from February 1, 2005, the German Embassy in China's Approval Department for Persons Studying in Germany (APS) has been responsible for verifying the authenticity of the academic qualifications of Chinese applicants who plan to study in Austria. Applicants can apply to Austrian universities (comprehensive universities, higher professional universities, higher professional university departments, seminaries, private universities and research institutes) with corresponding review certificates.

Chinese students who wish to study in Austria should submit their academic materials to the review department and attend an interview (in most cases) before applying to Austrian universities. Interviews are held at the Shanghai Review Department at specific times every year, and the interview language is German or English.

1. Studying in Austria - Interview review procedures ( Instructions for interview and review for studying in Austria ) are suitable for applicants who have study experience in Chinese universities and want to study for undergraduate or master's degrees in Austria (Freemover).
2. Studying in Austria - College Entrance Examination Procedure ( Application Instructions for the College Entrance Examination Procedure for Studying in Austria ) is suitable for applicants who plan to study for an undergraduate degree in related majors in Austria after taking the Chinese College Entrance Examination.
3. The review procedures of materials for studying in Austria ( Instructions for Review of Materials for Studying in Austria ) include scholarship students, doctoral students, and people who meet the Personengruppenverordnung regulations.
4. The review process for studying in Austria for arts ( Instructions for the review process for pure arts in Austria ) is only for applicants who have studied (passed) art/music majors in China and applied to Austrian art or music universities.
5. International students who have studied in China and still reside in China; And international students who have studied in China but no longer reside in China.Graduates of Chinese universities who currently reside in China / Graduates of Chinese universities with residency outside of China

Please note that the audit department only reviews transcripts, enrollment certificates, graduation certificates, degree certificates, etc. from universities recognized by the Ministry of Education of China.

Non-Chinese applicants who have completed the high school entrance examination but are unable to take the college entrance examination in China should directly contact the Austrian university you wish to apply for. APS cannot review your materials.
